Dive to Lead – Manta, the diving instructor’s qualification center
We, at Manta Diving Center, take pride that we are not just another general public “Diving Club” but a real diving center – a PADI instructor training center where all the diving and specialty courses can be taken, from the most basic level to the PADI Master Instructor level. In our center, the entire team can advance, whether be they dive masters, regular instructors, desk personnel or office staff, we find everyone equal underwater.
Recently, we decided to reinforce our instruction team with new, young and energetic instructors; among them are Maayan Nader and Chan Miloh our veteran dive masters and Lisa Podolovsky whom all the Manta members and divers meet when they arrive to the diving center offices. This team was joined by additional trainees and also by Ruthie Navon and Eyal Segal, the veteran instructors, who are now both taking the PADI Staff Instructors course following which they will also join Manta's Instructors training team. We wish them all good luck and warmly invite anyone who wants to take the Instructor Course to come and join us!
For more information about our instruction courses please visit the PADI Instruction Courses page.

MK-6 closed-circuit system for recreational diving
The Poseidon's MK6 closed circuit re-breather for scuba diving was launched at a closed circuit systems conference sponsored by Isrotel Manta Diving Center, The Israeli Diving Federation and Poseidon company. During that conference, divers enjoyed a try dive priced 50% of the regular price, learned about closed circuit systems from Poseidon's expert Mr.   סברקר פאלמבלאד and received a thorough and comprehensive lecture about the requirements, learning material and qualification conditions for the closed-circuit system diving instructor level from a representative of the Israeli Diving Federation. During the conference, the systems were demonstrated in the diving center's swimming pool and a Happy-Hour party was held at night at the Rondo Bar of the adjacent Isrotel Yam Suf Hotel.
Manta Diving Center offers the first scuba-diving closed circuit system course in Israel. This course takes only three days.

To the End of the Desert
What can we do when kids are on vacation and are “yearning” for a diving course but they are at the middle of the desert? This is also not a problem for the Manta Diving Center, which became a “Mobile Diving Center” on wheels and reached Kadesh- Barnea to carry a diving course for ten children in the middle of the desert.
Kadesh-Barnea is a quiet and tranquil community settlement by the Israeli-Egyptian border in the vicinity of Nitzana. “Several years ago we had a diving course in the community, it was arranged by the regional council's welfare department” recalls Einat Shoshani, a mother of 4 that initiated the course. “Now, my son Artal has turned 12 years old and decided that he also wants to learn diving”. The rumor slowly spread in the community and Ten children from the 6th and 7th grade signed up for the course. The task was assigned to Eviatar Madar, an instructor most admired by all the children that he has trained or is training in Manta. He loaded half of the diving center on the truck including diving cylinders, weights, equipment, suits and of course also extra gear and took off to deliver a diving course to the arid desert's children.
"It was great. The children really wanted to learn, they listened and actively participated in all the drills and practices I gave them” says Eviatar. “The community itself is such a wonderful place, very friendly and cordial people and lots of children playing in the pool and in its adjacent club”.
During those two days, the children had theoretical lessons, practiced diving in the pool, learned how to remove and replace the mask, find the regulator, empty the regulator and perform mouth - to mouth resuscitation. They also learned how to plan the dive and how to use the charts to calculate the dive's duration and depth. “The children are all excited and can hardly wait going to Eilat to complete the Course” adds Einat, “... they even already replaced their Facebook photos with their dive's photos".
If everything goes as planned, the children from Kadesh-Barnea will arrive at the Manta Diving Center, about one month from now, to complete their open water dives and to be qualified as ordinary divers.
