  • Jerusalem's bustling center of entertainment and dining has been built on the tracks of the city's historic train station.

Originally built in 1892, the trains' passenger cars have since been replaced by boutiques, restaurants, and various food and drink kiosks, as well as booths displaying jewelry and crafts for sale. The culinary bazaar that is the covered farmer's market takes place on Thursdays and Fridays. Known as the First Station, this vibrant entertainment venue hosts art workshops and theatrical and musical performances for adults and children alike.

The First Station's visitor center offers the latest information about tours taking place throughout the city, including bicycle and Segway tours.

Tip: Climb the stairs to the rooftop to bask in the incomparable view.
