    Ein Hemed Park
    Distance from hotel: 3 km (2 miles)
    Ein Hemed National Park is situated on the road between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv and it is a great place to spend a few hours with the kids. The place is well-kept, you can enjoy the nice loans and picnic tables so bring some food with you. You can also explore in the area, visit the crusade farm Aqua Bella see the small fountains and more.
    Mini Israel
    Distance from hotel: 20 km (13 miles)
    This is a great place for a family outing, not far from Latrun Monastery. You can see every bit of Israel in one place. The park includes thousands of structures and landscapes on scale of 1 to 25 don't forget to look for the tiny 7 cm-high people between them. Some models also intertwine sounds and lights to complete the visitors' experience.
    Abu Gosh
    Distance from hotel: 4 km (2.7 miles)
    Abu Gosh is a must go place for every Humus lover as it is known for its great and inexpensive humus places. However, there is much more to it than that, it is a village which also have many shops selling glass items, candles and local sweets. Abu Gosh is also home to the beautiful and ancient Benedictine Monastery. The site actually includes a monastery, a nunnery and a church surrounded by a beautiful garden. The site is open for visitors from Mondays to Saturdays; the church also hosts classical and liturgical concerts a few times a year.
    Ein Karem
    Distance from hotel: 26 km (18 miles)
    Ein Karem is one of the most unique neighborhoods in Jerusalem. The hillside area includes many monasteries, galleries and cafés. You can walk in the narrow allies, visit a church or monastery, admire some art works and then, sit down and relax at one of the Ein Karem's many cafés. Do note that finding parking in the area on Saturday is quite an ordeal.
    Latrun Monastery
    Distance from hotel: 18 km (12 miles)
    Latrun Monastery aka The Monastery of the Silent Monks at Latrun was established in 1890. The monks of the main order at the site took the vow of silent. Besides the main building the area includes olive orchards, vineyards and beautiful gardens. The site is also a great starting point for hiking; a 2-kilometers route starts at the end of the monastery's parking lot (blue-red route).
    Yad Lashiryon
    Distance from hotel: 20 km (13 miles)
    The Shiryon (armored forces) museum is located at Latrun. You can spot the place quite easily due to the old Sherman tank situated on top of a cement tower. Visitors can see tanks and other armored vehicles dated back to the Israel War of Independence (1948) as well as more recent equipment. The compound also includes a bird watching center.
    Deir Rafat
    Distance from hotel: 27 km (16 miles)
    Established in 1926, Deir Rafat Monastery is known for its beautiful natural setting, the peaceful atmosphere and the monks' warm welcome. The site is located a few kilometers away from the city of Beit Shemesh.
